About Mimi

My bio

Hi, I’m Mimi Zatuchni, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #148974). I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Dominican University and additional certification as an ADHD Clinical Services Provider.

Before becoming a therapist, I lived in the Bay Area and worked in advertising and brand strategy/marketing. I earned my MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey California.

As a mother who grew up overseas, I bring a warm, culturally attuned, and real-world perspective to my work with clients.

Why ADHD?

I chose to specialize in ADHD because of my own life experiences with it. ADHD is often misunderstood - viewed only as a deficit or disorder - when in reality, it’s a different way of thinking and operating in the world.

Many people with ADHD carry a deep sense of shame, often rooted in the gap between what they intend to do and what they’re actually able to follow through on. Understanding how ADHD truly works can begin to close that gap.

If you’re a parent of a teen with ADHD, an adult navigating ADHD yourself, or simply wondering if ADHD might be part of your or your teen’s experience, the most important first step is curiosity and education.

For families, it can be incredibly frustrating to watch a loved one struggle - especially when it leads to repeated conflict at home. Lasting change doesn’t come from more pressure, punishment, or ultimatums. It comes from learning how to work with ADHD.

I provide education along with highly personalized tools and strategies designed to help individuals and families thrive. With the right understanding and support, it’s possible to reduce shame, anxiety, and overwhelm - and create meaningful, sustainable change.

You don't need to figure this out alone.

My style

I listen, ask questions and explore alongside you so that you can feel lighter, inspired and more hopeful about your future. My style is lively, supportive, instructive and interactive. Sessions are interactive and tailored to your needs. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches to provide tools, insight, and guidance that you can actually use in your daily life.

Let's Chat

I believe solid results are created when you can trust our relationship. If you feel safe and heard in session, you will be able to do great work. Our ability to connect is paramount, please contact me for a free 15-minute phone consult to see if we are a good fit.

I work with high school teens, adults, families and couples. I see clients in my office - located downtown Petaluma, CA  -  or over video if you live in California.
